​Emerald City Fish & Chips is a cozy take-out place in the Central District of Seattle.
​It was much harder than I expected to find a black-owned restaurant in the hipster neighborhood where I live.

It was a 20 minute drive out. Along the way, I passed so many other restaurants that I would otherwise go to because they are more convenient. It occurred to me that if I only ate at places that were conveniently located near my home, I would never eat at a black-owned restaurant.

I will come back to Emerald City Fish & Chips again because (1) the food is delicious, and (2) the staff is great. And I need to find more BOBs in Seattle.
