My friend DR and I had the prix fixe dinner menu, which was fabulous. Lovely salad and perfectly cooked fish and veggies. The wait staff was welcoming and generous—they offered to let us come back after dinner for our dessert, because we were running late for the show (El Paso Blue).
When we returned, the kitchen had closed down, but they graciously opened it up to serve us a delectable banana dessert (innovative take on bananas foster) and espresso creme brulée.
Note: we did not enter this restaurant because it was "black owned." We went because the food looked good. It exceeded our expectations—the owners just happened to be black.
