Billy is an all around fix-it guy, mason, and gardener. He knocked on my door a year and a half ago and has been coming around regularly since. He helped lay a stone pathway, cuts the grass, and works with me in the garden. Last summer he taught me how to tend (and talk to) the tomato plants and our harvest was abundant and delicious.

Billy and I rescued this rose bush from a house that was being demolished on my block and planted it in my backyard. For a long time it just looked like a dead branch stuck in the ground. He kept saying, “Just wait. It’ll come." It bloomed. He says it’s the thing he’s most proud of in my yard.
