I am currently living in Williamstown, Mass., and had a hard time finding a local black-owned business.
I am an avid Etsy user and was delighted to support someone directly for something handmade. The Huffington Post did a write-up recently about black-owned Etsy shops. In searching for that article, I discovered that there is a network within Etsy of black-owned businesses.
I use Etsy often to purchase gifts for friends. Now that I've been introduced to so many new users/makers/shops from this network, i'll visit their sites to buy gifts.
