It is on a short street of shops including a bar called Tea-Bags (because the owner's wife said he is always getting into hot water), a sushi bar that changes owners every year, and a popular ice cream shop that only opens in the summer.
From the outside it looks a bit more charming than from the inside but the barber was very warm and friendly. He shook hands with both my children (one is one year old). For complicated reasons my daughter was not wearing shoes and got someone else's hair stuck to her feet while she waited.
My son decided that he would rather have his first real haircut in the future, when he is six. The barber (and shop owner) wrote on the back of a business card that we had paid for this future haircut and said we should call again in two years' time.
The price of the haircut was exactly $10 which I found deeply satisfying.
