Scroll down for a list of Pittsburgh businesses.* If you would like to put the money toward services—accounting, legal services, printing, a dental checkup—check Pittsburgh’s African American Chamber of Commerce directory or the Pittsburgh Black Business Directory (search by category).

The free app Around the Way, on your mobile device, will direct you to black-owned businesses around the U.S. You might also check your local African American Chamber of Commerce. Asking around is another way to locate companies and home-based entrepreneurs. Directory listings are not always complete or updated.

DOCUMENTING YOUR TRANSACTION
Don’t forget to document your participation by filling out the form. You are welcome to send us text, an image, video and/or a sound file. Please include at least one image of the product or service by itself, with no people in it. We encourage you to respond in your own way, in your own medium, and will upload contributions here on May 31, 2015.
