​I love Gardel's garden shop in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. I used to live in this neighborhood and always bought my Christmas tree from him. He gets a million trees on a very long flatbed, and it is always exciting to see the big truck navigate the narrow Brooklyn streets and double-parked cars to deliver the trees to his shop. Gardel is a lovely guy, helpful and knowledgable. I decided when I needed flowers for my yard that I would visit my old neighborhood and buy them from Gardel. His flowers are fresh and lovely. You can make out a tray of pink and white flowers that I bought from him today in my photo.
