I am currently at Djerassi [Foundation artist colony in Woodside, CA]. I was prepared to go to Big Ant's Soul Food in E. Palo Alto, but it turns out it's not a black-owned business after all. I realize that part of the project is this real challenge. It is very interesting albeit depressing as to how difficult it is to start and run a black-owned business in a place like this.
